As project managers we co-ordinated this self build project, constructed in 140mm timber frame. There was no masonry involved here with the structural frame incorporating an additional 100mm EPS to the external walls, which was finished in a thin coloured resin render and slip bricks. The frame arrived complete with windows and doors already installed and some of the interior walls dry lined, requiring a crane to off load to place all the panels. Under floor heating was installed throughout both the ground and the timber 1st floor within an anhydrite screed, which combines shallowness and tensile strength to allow the screed to be installed onto timber.
The local authority provided building control and a 10 year insurance warrantee was endorsed by Zurich.
