Employed as project managers from the feasibility stage we assisted and advised the client on planning issues, party wall agreement, specifications etc., and co-ordinated the build from demolishing the old bungalow and clearing the site, through to completion.
Although reflecting the brick and flint features so common in the Chilterns, this self build project was constructed in 119mm structural insulated panel (SIP) frame system by SIPS eco panels, onto a large basement, with a warm roof in 194mm SIP panel accommodating the 1st floor fully within the chalet roof pitch. The SIP construction facilitated a high level of insulation to be achieved with accompanying air tightness of 4.42 (m3/(h/m2) at 50Pa, to provide modern levels of comfort with traditional looks. Under floor heating was installed throughout the house.
The NHBC provided building control and a 10 year insurance warrantee.
