A very high level of insulation and air tightness was achieved with the SIP frame, utilising 119mm in the walls and 194mm for all the roofs, combining modern comfort levels with the New England design of external timber cladding.

The SIP construction enabled an air tightness of 4.45 (m3/(h/m2) at 50Pa to be achieved, providing an exceptional seal to preventing CO2 emissions to the atmosphere. The attractive cedar clad exterior was simply secured directly onto the SIP frame with vertical battens to allow for a breathing cavity.

Under floor heating was installed throughout the house, together with a ground source heat pump and heat recovery.
